Manufactured housing is specifically included as an eligible structure type under Michigan’s weatherization and home energy rebate programs. As long as the home is stationary, occupied, and has a fixed mailing address, it’s treated the same as any other qualifying residence.

Mobile and manufactured homes are often the homes that need this kind of help the most. Lighter framing and an underbelly that sits exposed to outside air mean these homes can lose heat faster than a comparable site-built house.

Renting the land but owning the home?
